Leong Ka Yen is a seasoned insurance executive with over 14 years of experience in the industry, specializing in marketing, strategic management and business transformation. She was Regional Manager for Kurnia Insurans (Malaysia), where she served for more than 10 years. During her tenure, Yen successfully turned the region profitable through the implementation of transformation projects by McKinsey & Company, and further drive significant change and enhance operational efficiency.

Yen also worked for KSK Insurance in Jakarta, Indonesia, on the insurance company’s Change Management projects under the Group CEO from Malaysia. Over 3 years, she collaborated closely with the CEO and Senior Management Committee to conduct SWOT analyses, and further involved in the development of comprehensive annual business plans and three-year strategic plans. Yen played a crucial role in establishing senior management KPIs and worked alongside the CEO and consultants to launch a centralized hub operation aimed at streamlining branch underwriting and claims processes. Additionally, Yen spearheaded the implementation of the Brokers Intensive Management program, significantly enhancing broker productivity and profitability. She also introduced Agency Tiering system to effectively categorize and reward high-performing agents and executed quarterly marketing campaigns that substantially boosted production.

In March 2024, Yen joined Huione Insurance Plc, where she has successfully led the Chinese Division team to secure major insurance deals, including the company's first aviation insurance. Her efforts have significantly expanded the company's presence within the Chinese-speaking community, driving substantial business growth.

Fluent in English, Chinese, Malay, Indonesian, and Cantonese, Yen effectively engages with diverse stakeholders from all industries. She holds a Master of Science in Management Accounting and Planning, is a Certified Financial Planner, and possesses various professional insurance certificates from the Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII).
